We know you’re busy, so we’ll keep this short.

School may be out, but the work of out-of-school time is in full swing! This is when the pace picks up—programming is not just before and after school, but all day long. Out-of-school time teams across the nation are already in summer mode: setting up programs, coordinating with providers, and creating enriching opportunities to keep students learning, growing, and engaged.
We’re lucky to work alongside so many of them.
What We’re Seeing
- District leaders are coordinating across multiple sites—balancing academic support with enrichment to meet the diverse needs of their students.
- Program teams are expanding access and building strong community partnerships to offer meaningful experiences.
- Families are already enrolling—and getting excited about offerings like STEM camps, creative arts, wellness workshops, and more.
- Behind the scenes, the logistics can be overwhelming—scheduling, staffing, rosters, and communication all need to align. That’s why we’re here, to support our partners, streamline operations, and ensure everyone—from site staff to vendors to families—is on the same page.
What They’re Saying
“It [6crickets] has completely transformed the way we operate, making my job easier and our processes more efficient. I can’t recommend them enough—6crickets has been a valuable partner in our success.”
— Tori Taylor, ELOP Communications Officer, Marysville JUSD
“The logistical challenges of enrollment and data management diverted our focus from designing top-tier programming for our students… Thanks to 6crickets, I can now allocate more time to crucial aspects of ELOP programming that directly impact student success.”
— April Jacobson, Assistant Director, Early and Expanded Learning, Simi Valley USD

Quick PSA: Take Care of You
Summer programming is no joke. Out-of-school time professionals across the country are stepping into one of the busiest—and most impactful—seasons of the year. Full days, full rosters, and nonstop coordination can leave even the most seasoned teams running on fumes if self-care isn’t part of the plan.
So here’s your friendly reminder: make taking care of yourself a professional goal this summer.
Step outside for five minutes between sessions. Actually, drink the water in your water bottle. Take a deep breath before diving into the next challenge. Celebrate a small win at the end of each day—even if it’s just “everyone made it to snack time in one piece.”
These little resets don’t just help you recharge—they help your whole program run smoother. Because when you’re feeling grounded, your team feels it. Your students feel it. And the work becomes more sustainable, more joyful, and more effective.
No matter your role, your funding, or your location—you’re doing important work. And you’re allowed to enjoy it, too.

Looking Ahead
We’re proud to support the incredible work being done to make summer meaningful for students—not as a time filler, but as a real extension of learning and connection.
