With great funding comes great responsibility. How do we measure the impact of expanded learning in student outcomes? How do we continuously evaluate our programs and operations to keep improving the programs for our students? How do we simplify the logistics in this evaluation process and not add more to our already full plate?
The key is to build evaluation into operations and to digitize the expanded learning operations process. This way, the evaluation process requires little additional effort. For example, we’d want online registrations for parents to register their students, digitally collect paperwork from vendors, digitally schedule enrichment clubs across vendors and teachers, digitally take attendance, and digitally monitor safety procedures daily.
Last, but not the least, we must synchronize student data in our expanded learning operations with that of our Student Information System. This way, we can measure the impact of expanded learning on attendance, grades, and other student outcome benchmarks.
We from 6crickets have been bringing cutting-edge technology to the space of expanded learning and digitizing its management process for our districts. This way, operations are streamlined and evaluations are built-in. Then our awesome expanded learning educators can focus more on students, programming, and continuous improvement.
